Note from Rick Teale: When the heat of summer is getting to you… get a break from it by heading to the Central Coast for this great little century I have done it the past few years. Ride start is about 45 minutes from San Luis Obispo.

How would you like to cruse the route on which Lance trains in the winter? It’s all happening at the Windmill Century! Enjoy the beautiful cool central coast summer and ride the WINDMILL CENTURY on July 16th, 2005. Cruise through scenic canyons, vineyards, ranches and beautiful vistas. Choose the 100, 64 or 40-mile route (100 with challenging hills, 64 with moderate hills, and the 40 relatively flat). All routes will have complete SAG support, great rest stops, patches, bibs, a terrific lunch midway, and T-shirts available. After the ride, enjoy the delicious all-you-can-eat Santa Maria Style BBQ just waiting for you! Choose top sirloin of beef, chicken and vegetarian.
